The short version
- The Daybreak app doesn’t use cookies.
- The website sets no cookies, uses no analytics and loads nothing from other companies.
The Daybreak app
The app doesn’t use cookies. It stores what it needs in its private storage on your iPhone, where only Daybreak can read it:
| What | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Your plan, routines and habits | So the app works | Until you change them or delete the app |
| Completion history and check-in records | Streaks, insights and today’s progress | Until you delete the app |
| Your latest verified bed photo | The made-bed check | Replaced at each check; removed with the app |
| Reference photo numbers for your own habits (not the photos) | Photo checks on habits you wrote | Until you take a new reference or delete the app |
| Reminder, alarm and check-in settings, and your companion | Reminders, alarms and check-ins | Until you change them or delete the app |
| What your widgets show | Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets | Replaced as your day changes; removed with the app |
| Your subscription status | Unlocking Daybreak Plus without waiting on the network | Refreshed by the app; removed with the app |
| Sign-in session, if you have an account | Keeping you signed in | Until you sign out or delete the app |
| Where cloud sync got to, if you have an account | Syncing only what changed | Until you sign out or delete the app |
None of this is used for advertising or shared with anyone. More detail is in the privacy policy.
The website
getdaybreakapp.com doesn’t use cookies, local storage, tracking pixels, analytics, advertising tools, social media embeds or third-party fonts. The typeface and every image are served from the site itself.
The site is hosted by Vercel. In rare cases, if Vercel’s firewall needs to check that a visitor isn’t an automated attack, it may set a short-lived, strictly necessary security cookie. It isn’t used to identify or track you, and the law doesn’t require consent for it.
If this changes
If we ever add anything that isn’t strictly necessary, such as analytics, we’ll update this policy and ask for your consent first.
